What's the best workflow for DxO One MXF video files and Apple's Final Cut Pro X? The workflow would depend greatly on how powerful your Mac system is. If for any reason you are unable to use DxO One MXF files in Final Cut Pro X fluidly, this tutorial may shed you some light. It explains a way of transcoding DxO One MXF media to FCP X preferred ProRes 422 codec for a smooth editing workflow on your Mac machine.
"Hi guys, I've been struggling with one problem none has been able to fix so far. I'm editing some MXF files coming from a DxO One through FCP X. For some reason the DxO One .mxf files are imported without any audio. I have processed a lot of DxO One MXF videos in the past without any issues at all and I'm following exactly the same procedure - the only change is that I have updated my OS to High Sierra. This is really strange and I'm wondering if it's related to some update in FCP X and if anyone else has experienced a similar issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!"
This is a known issue between FCP X and macOS High Sierra. One solution is transcoding DxO One MXF media to ProRes codec first, then import into FCP X. Check a guide on how to process DxO One MXF to ProRes conversion for FCP X editing.

Step 2: Click "Profile" to select AVI as output format for use in Pinnacle Studio. For a good editing performance, We would recommend choosing "HD Video" > "HD AVI Video(*.avi)" as target format.

If your computer is powerful enough to handle 4K files, you can choose "4K Video" > "4K AVI Video (*.avi)" as target format for Pinnacle Studio.

Tips: If necessary, you can click "Settings" button to modify video and audio parameters like encoder, resolution, frame rate, bitrate, aspect ratio, sample rate, and audio channels. You can also "Enable 3D Settings" to add 3D effect to your source media.

Step 3: Start file conversion for Pinnacle Studio. Click "Convert" to start DxO One MXF to Pinnacle Studio conversion. As soon as the conversion is complete, click "Open Folder" to get the generated AVI files for editing in Pinnacle Studio with optimum performance. Hope it helps.
