Issues editing Fujifilm X-M1 MXF in iMovie

Can't import MXF files from your Fujifilm X-M1 to iMovie any longer after upgraded to macOS High Sierra? You are not the only one. At the moment, High Sierra does not have native support for MXF files yet. Fortunately, this problem can be solved via transcoding Fujifilm X-M1 MXF video to iMovie preferred Apple InterMediate Codec (AIC .mov) first.

"iMovie won't import my Fujifilm X-M1 MXF files after updated to macOS High Sierra. Why did this happen? Is there anything I can do to solve the issue? Any help would be appreciated."

After an update it is a good idea to delete preferences to clear out any possible corrupted preferences caused by the update process. Try opening iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys, and then selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. See if that solves it. If not, try converting the Fujifilm X-M1 MXF files to Apple InterMediate Codec encoded QuickTime MOV format with the following Video Converter for Mac.
