Impossible to view Fujifilm FinePix T500 MXF files in iMovie

Can't import MXF files from your Fujifilm FinePix T500 to iMovie any longer after upgraded to macOS High Sierra? You are not the only one. At the moment, High Sierra does not have native support for MXF files yet. Fortunately, this problem can be solved via transcoding Fujifilm FinePix T500 MXF video to iMovie preferred Apple InterMediate Codec (AIC .mov) first.

"Why iMovie refused loading MXF files from my Fujifilm FinePix T500 on High Sierra that it should open? I hope it is a bug, because now I have an awful lot of projects based on Fujifilm FinePix T500 MXF files which are unusable (black screen, no sound) and I have no intention of purchasing Final Cut Pro X just to make simple edits. Any ideas?"
