How to transcode MXF footage to ProRes for FCP X editing

"Hi guys, I've been struggling with one problem none has been able to fix so far. I'm editing some MXF files coming from a Sony HDR-AS300 through FCP X. For some reason the Sony HDR-AS300 .mxf files are imported without any audio. I have processed a lot of Sony HDR-AS300 MXF videos in the past without any issues at all and I'm following exactly the same procedure - the only change is that I have updated my OS to High Sierra. This is really strange and I'm wondering if it's related to some update in FCP X and if anyone else has experienced a similar issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!"
